Pine Bluff is an Arkansas River port city of 57,000 in the south central area of the state. The city is surrounded by timberland to the west and agricultural delta to the east. It is a major agricultural and industrial trade center and home to University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

Civil war sites, historic homes and a variety of museums are popular destinations. Visitors can tour the city's restored downtown where murals depicting scenes from Pine Bluff's history have earned the town the nickname of "Arkansas' Mural City."

Conventions, trade shows and other events at the Pine Bluff Convention Center attract many visitors to the area. Festivals honoring Cajun cuisine, crawfish, barbecue and the Blues lure food and music lovers to the region.

A mild climate allows for fishing and other outdoor activities year round. Excellent bass fishing is available on the Arkansas River and Lake Langhofer. Pine Bluff Regional Park provides access to these fishing spots as well as RV hookups and golf.

Pine Bluff is located 44 miles southeast of Little Rock. It is accessible via Interstate Highway 530, and U.S. Highways 63, 65, and 79. A variety of lodging choices are available.
