Rolling hills, meandering rivers and shady stands of forest provide a natural setting to complement the cultural heritage of the Ozark Mountains region in northwestern Arkansas.
The Arkansas River begins in the mountains of central Colorado, north of Leadville, and heads south and east through Pueblo and off into the Great Plains. The most commonly fished section, between Buena Vista and Salida, is home to thousands of trout and is very popular with anglers. The deep canyons, broad valleys and towering mountain peaks along the route make this national treasure a beautiful place to fish.
