Forest flanks the shores of Bull Shoals Lake in northwestern Arkansas sheltering serious fishermen in shimmering coves and clear waters popular with boaters, sailers and houseboaters.
Howard Lake has twenty surface acres and Hammerhorn has two acres.
Hammerhorn has a developed campground while Howard has unimproved sites with no water or toilets. Primitive camping is also available away from the lakes. For a safe and enjoyable camping experience, remember to obtain a fire permit and observe any seasonal fire restrictions.
