Arkansas Entertainers Hall of Fame, Pine Bluff

Imagine having Johnny Cash greet you as you walk in the door. That's just what happens at the Arkansas Entertainers Hall of Fame in Pine Bluff. An animatronic version of the country music star sits at the front door and with the push of a button, he begins singing "I Walk the Line" or another of Cash's hit songs.

Other exhibits include memorabilia from hall inductees, such as a 1956 Ford Thunderbird owned by country singer Jim Ed Brown, and a costume worn by Academy Award-winning actress Mary Steenburgen in the movie "Cross Creek." Also on display are the 1959 Grammy award won by folksinger and composer Jimmy Driftwood for his song "The Battle of New Orleans" and the gold record singer Glen Campbell received for his "Rhinestone Cowboy" album.

Other well-known Arkansas entertainers, both performing and non-performing, who have been inducted into the Hall have contributed artifacts that run the length of their careers. With over 30 present inductees, such as musician Art Porter, Sr., comedians, radio stars and actors Lum & Abner, singer Al Green, the musical group The Browns, songwriters Randy Goodrum and Wayland Holyfield, this is an attraction that has something to offer each visitor. Others include country singers Tracy Lawrence, Charlie Rich and Conway Twitty, Levon Helm, a member of the legendary group The Band, and there are still more to come.
